Annie is a passionate advocate, focused on using her talents to promote fairness, equality and access to justice. As an associate, her practice focuses on strategic drafting and written and oral submissions before the Courts in class action and Indigenous law litigation.
Annie acts on behalf of plaintiffs in various matters, including privacy, price-fixing, competition, consumer protection and product liability. In addition to her class actions practice, Annie advises clients on matters of Indigenous law, including Band membership, Indian Act status, and land claims and, where possible, incorporates her knowledge of class action implications. Above all, Annie advocates for the self-determination of Indigenous people in Canada.
During her studies, she worked in a legal aid clinic, which developed her interest in ensuring vulnerable citizens have an opportunity to challenge the status quo. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Development with a focus on sustainability and carries the values of global citizenry through all aspects of her practice.
Outside the firm, Annie is an avid environmentalist, skier, and gardener, and enjoys spending time with her husband and three rescue pets. Annie is an active member of both the legal and London communities, is an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Class Action Section and the Ontario Bar Association’s Aboriginal Law Section, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the London Environmental Network.
Annie wishes to acknowledge the beautiful lands our office is situated on are the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Attawandaran and Wendat people and are subject to the London Treaty of 1796.
