OEG Class Action Settlement Approved by the Court

The settlement agreement in the Ontario Energy Group and Home Trust Company HVAC Equipment Lease Class Action has been approved by the Court. The Court has directed that a further hearing is needed in order to finalize the Distribution Protocol. Following approval of the Distribution Protocol, another notice will be sent to class members. That notice will announce the commencement of the claims process and its details and timetable.

We anticipate that the second notice will be sent in late 2021 or in early 2022. That timing depends on the necessary Court approvals for the distribution plan and the notices. Class members are asked to be patient as this process takes place. For additional details about the case please visit the OEG Class Action page.
