Lawnmowers Horsepower Ratings Conspiracy

This class action was brought on behalf of all Canadians who purchased a lawnmower containing a gas combustible engine of 30 horsepower or less.

Parking Heaters Price Fixing

Navistar MaxxForce EGR Engine Product Liability

This class action alleged that certain manufacturers engaged in an illegal cartel to fix prices of small-sized ball bearings in Canada.

CN Fuel Surcharge Tariffs

This class action claims that the Canadian National Railway Company (CN) charged certain unlawful fuel surcharge tariffs on customers who purchased CN’s rail freight shipping services. 

Vehicle Carrier Services Price Fixing

Vehicle carriers transport large numbers of cars, trucks, or other automotive vehicles including agriculture and construction equipment over oceans using specialized cargo ships known as Roll On/Roll Off vessels.

Hard Disk Drive Suspension Assemblies

This class action alleges that certain manufacturers of HDD suspension assemblies engaged in an illegal cartel to fix prices of HDD suspension assemblies in Canada.

Linear Resistors

Linear resistors are small components used to regulate current in electrical circuits, and are found in most modern electronic devices. This class action alleges that certain resistors manufacturers engaged in an illegal cartel to fix prices of linear resistors in Canada.

Agromart & Sollio AG Privacy Breach

The claim alleges that hackers were able to penetrate Agromart and Sollio AG’s systems due to substandard cybersecurity systems.

Kew Media Group

This class action alleges that Kew Media Group and certain of its directors and officers made material misstatements of the company’s working capital.

Google Tracking Privacy

This action involves Google’s alleged collection of personal information from Canadians using Google services.

Flo: Health & Period Tracker

The claim alleges that Flo collected, tracked, and sold the sensitive and valuable personal information to its customers.

Immigration Imprisonment

The claim alleges that the CBSA detains non-citizens in correctional facilities for immigration related purposes contrary to domestic and international legal rules.

$3.285 million settlement in favor of former Endeavour security holders (a company which was taken over by Aspen Group Resources Corporation in 2001)

General Motors and General Dynamics Pension

The class action sought relief for an alleged shortfall in pension benefits payable to salaried employees who transferred from GM’s defense-based business to GD.

 

Canada Life Assurance Pension

This action concerned the rights of plan members to a substantial pension surplus, certain unilateral actions of Canada Life and the Trustees.

Cooling Compressors Price Fixing

Cooling compressors of less than one horsepower, and cooling compressor products, were alleged to be the subject of a national price-fixing conspiracy.
